Position Summary:
As our Transport Manager, your mission is to ensure the operational efficiency of the Transport department. You are responsible for the operational efficiency and cost-effective management, in accordance with the strategy established by your manager and the Company. You will work closely with our Logistics Manager and our Customs Manager, to ensure smooth operations and flow for the Florida factory.
Responsibilities
Coordination:
- Plan and manage the transportation (International and Domestic) of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery by air, sea and road.
- Create and manage schedules for the transportation of goods, coordinating with other departments to meet project timelines.
- Organization of Critical shipment for launch campaign. Plan and manage end-to-end transport.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all transportation activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including Haz-Mat.
- Prepare and maintain necessary documentation, in collaboration with other departments (Logistics, Customs, Trade and Compliance)
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks in transportation processes and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Maintain and update existing procedures for transportation operations.
Cost Management:
- Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs without compromising service quality.
- Implement cost-saving measures.
Technology Utilization and Sustainability:
- Use transportation management software to track shipments and optimize operations.
- Implement environmentally friendly transport practices to minimize the carbon footprint.
Performance Monitoring:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the Transport operations. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration is required.
Certification(s):
Experience:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain coordination is required.
- Experience with a production assembly environment.
- Experience in planning and resources management.
- Experience in managing successful customer satisfaction.
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
- Highly motivated and self-driven.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a transverse and multi-cultural environment.
- Leadership skills, and capability to work in close cooperation with other teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and technical.

- Fluent in written and spoken English is required.
Technical Systems Proficiency:
- Working knowledge of SAP is required.
Travel Required:
- Up to 20% travel required.
Eligibility:
- S. Citizenship required.
Clearance:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Carrying: able to carry documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
- Lifting: able to lift documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
- Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.
- Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
- Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
- Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
- Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
