Job Details
What You Will Be Doing:
Develop and approve PLS-CADD Criteria
Finalize PLS-CADD models
Schedule project tasks for project support team
Attend client stakeholder meetings
Complete design review meetings with the client
Provide input on special design questions
Attend internal design review meetings
What You Bring:
Bachelor's in Engineering (required)
Professional Engineer (PE) certification (preferred)
4+ years of related transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry (required)
Experience in using PLS-CADD for designing transmission lines (required)
Experience with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI
Experience with liaising substation, transmission, environmental, real estate, construction, and maintenance stakeholders
Demonstrated ability in the application of engineering theories and principles
Increasingly proficient in practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, preparing, and presenting
Ability to work in a safe manner and always obey safety regulations
Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in an unstructured, varied and deadline- driven work environment
Strong ability to collaborate with team members and peers in the electrical utility industry
Effective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
Demonstrated verbal and technical writing skills
