Transmission Line Engineer - Remote Anywhere in the U.S.
The Transmission Line Engineer will be utilizing PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE to model remediation for identified issues during a drone inspection of client facilities. The successful candidate will use provided LiDAR, intrusive records, and drone-based photos to assist in the analysis and remediation. Each location will have different issues, so could require thinking outside of the box.
Responsibilities of Transmission Line Engineer:
- Utility transmission line design experience (15kV through to 500kV)
- Knowledgeable in design of transmission foundations
- Familiar with foundations design programs (FAD, LPile, APile, etc.)
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with project engineers, designers and client representatives
- Work effectively in team environment; can also work independently
Technical Competencies of Transmission Line Engineer:
- Experience with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE & LiDAR
- Understanding of electric utility pole design
- Familiarity with utility pole construction and equipment
Education and Experience of a Transmission Line Engineer:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship.
- EIT preferred but not required
- PE preferred but not required
