JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager is responsible for complete management of average sized projects with vary complexity. The basic objective is to complete these projects to the client’s satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule, and contractual requirements to maximize financial objectives. The Project Manager will grow the Transmission & Distribution End-Market by managing projects and developing a team (in-house and subcontractors) to execute these types of projects. The role will include interfacing with clients, contractors, and vendors on a regular basis.
- Developing the precise scope of work
- Defining any changes between the original proposal and the final contractual agreement
- Responsible for negotiating with the client on all changes to the job in accordance with the company procedures.
- Responsibility for the financial and technical success of projects
- Responsible for all phases of project planning and execution.
- Serves as the unifying agent accomplishing direction, coordination, and control of the overall project in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.
- Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Technical Knowledge, Years of Related Experience, Certifications Required, Equipment and/or Systems Experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineering license preferred.
- 7 or more years of field and project planning experience.
- Proficient in PLS-CADD, and similar programs
- Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.
- The ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
- Excellent project management and supervision skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.
- Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in team environments and direct project personnel.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and be available to project team members as needed.
- Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.
