Essential Functions and Primary Duties
CBIZ is seeking a Transaction Advisory Senior Consultnat to join our growing and well-established national firm. This position requires a high-energy, experienced professional, with strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and with a team, along with a strong desire to be willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct financial advisory due diligence in buy-side and sell-side transactions.
- Review target company financial information and other data to identify:
- Historical and projected financial, operating and commercial trends.
- Quality of earnings adjustments.
- Working capital and net debt considerations.
- Potential liabilities and risks which impact valuation and negotiation of the target company.
- Identify pre- and post-acquisition transaction issues in the context of financial due diligence.
- Identify purchase price reductions, deal restructuring, or other issues affecting a transaction.
- Assist in drafting reports on Quality of Earnings, Working Capital and other transaction related analysis.
- Supervise, develop and evaluate staff.
- Liaise with other disciplines (tax) working on the due diligence projects.
- Communicate effectively with clients, target company management, investment bankers and other client advisors on a transaction.
- Contribute to staff training programs, development of transaction advisory practice aids and to adherence to practice compliance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 3 years of relevant work experience
- Achieve professional certifications relative to area of expertise, must have and preserve required licenses
- Must possess analytical skills
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
- Position requires associate to be in the office at least 3 days/week
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $85,000-$100,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skillset of the individual selected for this position.
