Job Description
Mission Technologies provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.
Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Training Specialist with expertise in joint or service component operations or training events, including USMC processes and operations. Expertise in using wargaming simulation software is also required. The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. These statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required of all personnel within this position. Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending upon assignments and other factors.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):
• Provide expertise in joint and service component operations, operational planning, joint command and control (C2).
• Manage the Tabletop Exercise (TTX) Event Life Cycle (Define, Scope, Design, Develop, Rehearse, Execute, and Assess).
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Senior Leaders Seminars (SLS), workshops, and conferences in support of wargaming events.
• Evaluate and make recommendations to the government for wargame process improvements.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams of subject matter experts during live event execution.
• Provide expertise for analysis, in the planning and preparation, design, coordination, and execution of After-Action-Reviews (AAR).
• Employ one or more constructive simulations to digitally adjudicate outcomes for wargames.
• Prepare Post-Event Reports.
• Capture insights from TTXs such that may be leveraged to drive analytic studies and live experiments.
• Descriptive outcomes of TTXs must be useful to senior leadership in informing investment decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
• 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
• Ten (10) years of experience as a Training Specialist or performing training related activities.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear, concise, and technically accurate manner.
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Requirements
• Flexible, adaptable, self-motivated, have excellent reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Sufficient stamina to be able to work 12-14 hours per day during wargaming events.
• Capacity to prioritize tasks through self-directed time management and organization.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products to provide presentations, executive summaries, and planning documents to senior leaders and technical experts, as needed.
