JOB TITLE: Training Manager
REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Regional Director
Location: Everett and Olympia
DAYS/HOURS: M-F 8:00 -4:00pm
Pay Rate: $77,968.00 annually

SUMMARY:
Will perform all training, ensuring The SAILS Washington employees meet required orientation, training and certification within specified timeframes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for performing and delivering curriculum and learning material and overseeing all operations of Washington SAILS training program as reflected by the following duties and responsibilities:
- Will develop and/or prepare curriculum, classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals.
- Create training materials as needed for specific issues and create training videos.
- Will create an annual training schedule for each department and make it available in Google Drive.
- Will conduct New Hire Orientation and Safety Training.
- Will maintain instructor status and direct structured learning courses (Home Care Aide Training, Community Protection Training, Residential Core Training, CPR, First Aid, HIV/BBP, Right Response and Continuing Education, CPI).
- Will evaluate training effectiveness by observing and conducting surveys.
- Will make sure the training team trains and supervises instructors (peer coaching).
- Will assist employees in improving or enhancing existing skills.
- Will complete all required applications and documents ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and agreements.
- Will maintain training requirements and certifications for all employees.
- Overseeing and maintaining the Washington Training Tracker
- Overseeing and communicating to Directors and Supervisors in regards to Training Compliance
- Will keep up to date with Policies and Procedures and create trainings for staff with updated changes as needed

- Accounting Department for payroll and billing purposes
- Administrative Assistant for employee file compliance
- Will attend Provider meetings when training information is part of the agenda.
- Will adjust the training program as requirements are updated, modified or changed.
- Will stay on top of new trends and tools in employment development.
- Will work within the Training Program operation budget.
- Will work with DDA/DOH to ensure curriculum/trainers are approved.
- Will work with new accreditations and certifications to ensure the curriculum is approved.
- Annually train the Leadership team with updated leadership training
- Stay on top of In The Know or any other training system to keep up to date on CE’s and updated training expectations
- Must be willing to travel to complete training in other areas.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years of age with some education.
- Must have fingerprints and criminal clearance prior to starting.
- Certified Long-Term Care Worker Instructor – Residential Core Training
- Certified Instructor of New Employee Orientation and Safety Training
- Minimum of 2 years of Community Protection Program field experience
- 1 Year of Community Protection training
- Certified CPR / First Aid / BBP Instructor
- Peer Coach Instructor
- CPI Instructor
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Sound decision making and organizational skills
- Ability to present complex information to a diverse community
- Proficiency in MS Office and database software
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision. Guidance is available as necessary; however, the individual is expected to be able to function autonomously and make individual decisions when appropriate.
