Training Manager
Location: North Haven, CT
Greenskies is looking to hire a Training Manager to lead the formal development of operational training documentation. The role will champion the training process and deployment plan across Greenskies operations. The Training Manager will report directly to the COO focusing on supporting training with the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, & Construction) and Business Development teams. The ideal candidate will collaborate with leadership to identify training needs, develop tailored programs, and measure their effectiveness. This position requires a strong technical writing background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for fostering professional growth. Greenskies is seeking an individual highly interested in the renewable energy industry with the goal of supporting the continued growth and employee development of a solar industry leader.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to
- Create formalized operational training documentation with an emphasis on straightforward end-user instructions.
- Generate and maintain team and role-based process workflows to document key project activities and deliverables.
- Document department-based centralized training summaries to clearly communicate the breadth of training.
- Lead regularly scheduled department trainings to ensure the teams continued education.
- Deliver engaging training sessions and facilitate workshops for employees at all levels.
- Partner with HR to create and track compliance of employee on-boarding training.
- Manage a consolidated company training repository.
- Work with leadership to measure trainings effectiveness against key operational metrics.
- Continually improve training process by responding to operational issues and feedback.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in technical training or writing.
- Four-year degree in related field or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex processes into effective documentation and instructions.
- Experience working with leadership to deploy and monitor training programs.
- Familiarity with instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
- Prior solar, renewables, or construction experience is a plus.
