Training and Education Coordinator, Research and Population Health - Caring Health Center Inc

General Description:

This Training and Education Coordinator will support the successful development, implementation, and evaluation of training and education programs focused on virtual care, digital patient engagement, and quality improvement. The Training and Education Coordinator will work under the direction of and in collaboration with the Research and Population Health Project Manager to support the agency's mission to eliminate health disparities through evidence-based, culturally-responsive health promotion programming. The Training and Education Coordinator will manage the development and evaluation of training materials, execution of training and education activities, and facilitate collaboration and alignment with cross-agency educational initiatives including the health center's Learning Institute.

Note: This position is grant-funded.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Public Health, Education, Management, or related field.
• Oral and written fluency in English (fluency in another language preferred, such as Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Vietnamese, Nepali, Somali, Swahili, Dari, or Pashto).
• Experience developing and delivering training to culturally- and linguistically-diverse adult learners.
• Experience in curriculum/protocol development and group facilitation (e.g., workshops, courses, or focus groups).
• Ability to articulate ideas verbally and in writing with a wide variety of audiences and learning styles (in-person and online).
• Experience in peer coaching and training.
• Strong experience and expertise with computer technology and web-based platforms including Electronic Medical Records (EMR), virtual care/telehealth, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Strong theoretical understanding of principles of health equity, social determinants of health, community development, and social justice.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong professional communication and correspondence skills.
• Complete proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Email, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides) applications.
• Ability to develop presentations, deliver presentations, and facilitate meetings with internal teams, stakeholders, and grant funders.
• Superior attention to detail and organizational abilities; ability to validate own work as well as team members' work.
• Ability to demonstrate cultural sensitivity with staff, teams, patients, stakeholders, and partners representing diverse cultures, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, socioeconomic statuses, educational backgrounds, worldviews, literacy levels, and languages.

• Assist Research and Population Health leadership in the development, management, implementation, and evaluation of training and education programs for patients and staff, with a focus on virtual care, digital patient engagement, and quality improvement.
• Collaborate with leadership to curate/develop training materials and curricula (including learning objectives, activities, and evaluation metrics) based on project/program need; develop training guides and curriculums.
• Facilitate collaboration and strategic alignment with cross-agency educational initiatives, including the health center's Learning Institute.
• Assist in the development and adaptation of training curricula to support cultural and linguistic learning needs.
• Plan and deliver both in-person and virtual trainings, webinars, and other meeting platforms with patients and staff, including both individual and group sessions.
• Manage all logistics of trainings, including scheduling, program supplies, inventory management, communication, space, and equipment.
• Facilitate meetings, deliver presentations, and foster partnerships with interdisciplinary internal teams, grant funders, and community partners.
• Continuously expand knowledge and understanding of community resources and services, public health prevention practices, and evidence-based intervention programs.
• Report to and collaborate actively with departmental leadership; provide thorough communications and updates regarding program operations, successes, and barriers; identify and address inefficiencies and solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams (Interpreting/Translation Services, Marketing Department) on development and dissemination of promotional and educational materials and campaigns.
• Assist with the development and curation of of resources, educational materials, and tools.
• Collaborate actively with Wellness team to support promotion, recruitment, enrollment, and facilitation of chronic disease self-management and wellness workshops, classes, and activities.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties:

·         Utilize adult learning principles and other best-practice frameworks to deliver inclusive, adaptable, flexible, and effective trainings to learners with varying needs and preferences.

·         Manage participant recruitment, registration, and communications for a large volume of training participants.

·         Assist in evaluation activities as needed, including development of data collection tools, collection of data, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data

·         Develop and strengthen partnerships and bi-directional referral systems with community-based service providers.

Working Conditions:

·         Position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and typing on a computer; ability to stand for prolonged periods of time; ability to perform moderate activities such as

climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 20 pounds at times; and potential exposure to adverse outdoor environmental conditions.
