Kline Electric is looking for a traffic signal electrician for traffic structures to be based out of our shop in Des Moines, IA

Overview:
- Maintain, repair, and install electrical systems for traffic signals and street lighting.
- Ensure safe and efficient traffic flow, contributing to public safety and urban mobility.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Install new systems and upgrade existing ones.
- Test and calibrate equipment for functionality and compliance.
- Respond to emergency calls and document maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders for system improvements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Experience with traffic signal systems required.
- Technical skills with specialized tools and equipment.
- Relevant certifications (IMSA, ATSSA, Journeyman Electrician) and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills and physical fitness.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

• 2 years with traffic signals

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Work setting:

• Construction site
• In-person
• Outdoor work

Experience:

• Traffic Signal: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CDL A (Preferred)
• Journeyman Electrician (Preferred)
• IMSA Level II certification (Required)
