About the Job
Objective
To contribute to the success of transportation projects by providing high-quality traffic engineering expertise within a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct traffic engineering analyses, including traffic impact studies, traffic calming studies, and transportation studies.
Design and develop traffic calming measures.
Prepare detailed traffic engineering plans and specifications for roadway improvement projects.
Collect and analyze field data, such as traffic counts and other relevant research.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other documentation.
Develop transportation-related plans and graphics using software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD.
Prepare quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates.
Provide technical support for project meetings, client presentations, and proposals.
Stay abreast of the latest industry standards, codes, and best practices in traffic engineering.
Collaborate effectively with Civil Engineers, Project Managers, and other team members.
Travel to job sites for field inspections, data collection, and client meetings as required.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
3-10yrs of relevant experience in Traffic Engineering.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required; Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is highly preferred.
Proficiency in Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) software is a strong advantage.
Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD software is desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with1 a focus on detail.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to travel to project sites within the region as required.
