We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Trading Services Representative I to join our Front Office Operations Team. This role is located in Lake Mary, FL – Hybrid.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Reporting to the Trading & Service Manager, the Trading Services Representative I will be responsible for providing high quality customer service as well as handling of incoming trade calls. The individual in this role must have an understanding of financial markets, market risk and firm liability and shall process customer orders effecting timely execution in equities, options, fixed income, and mutual funds in accordance with current policy and procedure. He or she may also support managed account operations, supervision of order flow, web services, compliance, and rollout of new products. He or she shall effectively resolve customer inquiries by accessing various applications and providing market and account related information such as activity, portfolio holdings, cost basis, corporate actions, commissions, and fees. In addition, he or she will inform and educate clients by applying knowledge of BNY Mellon Securities Corporation’s services and products.
The Trading Services Representative I will follow BNY Mellon Brokerage referral guidelines in the event the customer would like assistance with their investment portfolio. He or she will provide appliable security information such as price, yield, performance information and additional information that adds value to our customers. The individual in this role must have the ability to work well under pressure to meet time sensitive deadlines, have excellent communication skills, and possess interpersonal and organizational skills. He or she may be asked to produce ad/hoc-reporting or participate in special projects initiated by management.
- Processes orders as per client instruction on stocks, fixed income products, mutual funds, options, etc. Process service requests on Managed Accounts, as well as maintenance requests accurately.
- Answer inbound calls, review, and collect client information as needed and provide service solutions.
- Provide guidance and support for on-line access, navigation and functionality.
- Collaborate with team members, and internal departments effectively to ensure timely and accurate resolution of complex client inquiries and concerns.
- Identify qualified clients and refer clients to the BNY Mellon Advisors for investment recommendations.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- High School/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of total work experience preferred.
- Experience in financial investments preferred.
- FINRA SIE and Series 7 & 63 licenses preferred
- Proficiency with use of multiple computer applications, simultaneously, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Demonstrate self-confidence and the ability to maintain composure in difficult situations preferred
- Ability to pass a comprehensive training program of 4-6 weeks and telephone simulation exams preferred
