Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file trademark applications, statements of use, extensions of time, amendments to allege use, Sections 8 & 15 declarations, and other filings with the USPTO.
- Navigate and adhere to USPTO and TTAB rules and procedures with precision.
- Drafts responses to office actions issued by the USPTO
- Conduct trademark searches and draft opinions on availability.
- Manage trademark prosecution deadlines and maintain accurate records in trademark database.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding trademark matters and provide updates on the status of trademark applications and registrations.
- Handles all types of filings at the USPTO and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in order to prosecute, maintain, and enforce trademarks.
- Prepare reports for clients on their trademark portfolios.
- Assist attorneys with the preparation of pleadings and other filings in TTAB proceedings.
- Provide support for trademark enforcement matters, including drafting cease and desist letters and monitoring potential infringements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in trademark prosecution work.
- Comprehensive knowledge of USPTO and TTAB rules and procedures.
- Proficient in conducting trademark searches and analyzing search results.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in trademark docketing software and MS Office.
- Paralegal certification or equivalent relevant experience.
