Trade and Compliance Intern - Wahl Clipper Corporation

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Trade and Compliance Intern at our offices in Sterling, Illinois.

The Trade Compliance Intern will provide support to the NA Trade Compliance Manager for clerical and data entry activities related to Trade Compliance activities performed by the NA Trade Compliance team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools - particularly in Excel using formulas such as vLookup, macros and pivot tables
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work throughout the organization
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work as part of an existing team and to support the overall team
• Demonstrated ability to carry out written and oral instructions.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Data entry of broker requests
• Free Trade Agreement (FTA) document solicitation
• Proof of Export (POE) document solicitation
• Data entry of FTA documents received
• Data entry of POE documents received
• Ensure all documentation received is saved in its respective location for recordkeeping purposes
• Create pivot table identifying common Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes used for import purposes
• Create work instructions
• Create databases to help support KPI creation
• Assist with creation of KPI's
• Help streamline recordkeeping
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently pursuing a degree or recent graduate in related field
• Experience with creating macros in Excel
• Working knowledge of D365
• Experience with SharePoint
• Experience creating documents in Microsoft Forms or PDF
