Job Description
Southwest Housing Compliance Corporation (SHCC) is looking for a customer service and data analysis-oriented candidate to work in a fast-paced environment. SHCC has served the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as high-performing Contract Administrator for over 22 years. In this role, we are proud to serve over 60,000 households in the states of Texas and Arkansas to ensure they receive healthy and safe housing in accordance with HUD's mission.

What you will do in this position:
- Provide qualitative analysis of incoming data received from sites in order to reconcile monthly payment vouchers submitted by Owner/Agents
- Identify discrepancies in tenant data and voucher files and determine a thorough solution
- Communicate clearly and concisely via phone and email with Owner/Agents and supervisors
- Create accurate files to document payment per HUD and SHCC requirements
- Enter accurate data, including dates and dollar amounts, in SHCC's STARS System for proper workflow tracking
- Meet all internal SHCC deadlines to ensure HUD deadlines are met

- Experience providing compassionate and professional customer service to a wide variety of clientele
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience in affordable housing or government industry is preferred, but not required.
- Strong computer skills are necessary (Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite)

The Housing Assistance Payments Department processes over 800 subsidy vouchers per month for a total of over $40M, without missing any HUD deadlines. The environment is very fast-paced for about 3.5 weeks of the month, with a short downtime to get other monthly assignments completed and to prepare for the next round of submissions.
Our team is incredibly tight-knit and we work closely throughout the month to meet our deadlines and ensure accurate payments to the Owners.

Schedule & Salary:
- Work from home eligible
- 8 hour shift, predictable schedule
- Monday - Friday, with flexibility on schedule between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
- $22.12/hour with annual merit increase potential
