Purpose and Scope:
The Tower Laborer supports the installation, replacement, and repair of telecommunications equipment on towers, and performs maintenance under close supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in the analysis of situations, adopts an appropriate course of action in concurrence with supervisor.
- Follows instructions accurately and completely.
- Recognizes safety hazards and performs duties in a safe manner.
- All other duties as required.
Skills / Other:
- Schedule flexibility for weekends, nights, or extended travel. Extensive travel should be anticipated-away from home or out-of-market, as needed.
- Communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to work under close supervision.
- At least one year of telecom experience
Education/Training:
- High School graduate or equivalency, required.
- Clean and current Driver's license (MVR check) in applying State.
- Basic use and care of tools and equipment.
- Must have or be willing to acquire certifications in:
- OSHA 10
- RF Safety Awareness
- Competent Climber
Experience:
At least one year of telecom experience
Compensation: $20/hr
