1. Tower Construction Foreman is responsible for leading/working with crews on structural upgrade assignments throughout the Northeastern US. The successful candidate must possess a clear understanding of the communications tower industry as well as technical skills related to wireless technology, wireless networks and tools, and various tower construction configurations. The Tower Construction Working Foreman effectively collaborates with company owners and customers to complete tower construction/modification projects in a safe and timely manner. He/she demonstrates excellent communication skills, strong problem solving abilities and a collaborative yet self-driven operating style.

Essential Duties and Functions

• Assist in the scheduling and delivery of material and equipment
• Oversee the daily tower upgrade/modification operations at assigned sites
• Perform all tower construction, modifications, and upgrades in a manner the meets quality and safety requirements
• Comply with all safety procedures and regulations
• Ensure job site is free from unsafe conditions and unsafe acts
• Implement and follow through with job instructions provided by the Tower Construction Manager
• Effectively collaborate with customer representatives to achieve expected project outcomes
• Set clear expectations with crew members and provide on-going training, coaching and performance management
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in an operational condition at all times
• Accurately compile all site-specific closeout documentation and submit in a timely manner

Skills/Experience Required

• At least 4 years of industry experience with 2 year’ experience leading crews
• Demonstrated expertise in tower modifications, antenna installs and rigging
• Must be able to read and interpret site plans, construction drawings and scopes of work
• Proficiency with tools required for documentation including MS Office, Excel, Outlook
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record
• Fiber testing experience a plus
• Sweep testing, RF troubleshooting, RET system configuration and troubleshooting.
• Required certifications - Tower safety & rescue, CPR/First Aid/AED

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Must be willing to travel extensively when needed.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when required
• Must be in good physical condition with the ability to bend, twist, squat and lift 75 lbs. and pull his/her own body weight plus equipment weight up a vertical tower repeatedly for long periods of time.
• Must be comfortable climbing at various heights if needed.
