DutiesThis position is located in the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, Office o Human Resources, Director's Office.
The Total Worker Health (TWH) Program is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive initiatives that create a healthy and safe work environment across the USPTO. Through the implementation of behavioral health programs and support the agency will create a safer, healthier, and more productive work environment by addressing a wide range of factors that affect workers health, safety and well- being such as mental health support, health screening and wellness checks and work-life balance initiatives.This role is the ideal next career step for you if:You have the ability to maintain close contact and sensitivity with stakeholders and innovators to keep abreast of their accomplishments, capabilities, trends and needs, and serves as the focal point for governmental cognizance of the state of the USPTO with respect to Total Worker Health.You possess the knowledge to evaluate the impact of new systems, processes, methods, concepts, innovations, and policies to generate ideas and recommend ways to enhance the effectiveness of the Total Worker Health program.You're committed to monitoring and analyzing legislation, regulations, and public policies that affect Total Worker Health program.You're a collaborative relationship builder who looks forward to partnering with health care providers, academia, and other stakeholders to develop new theories, concepts, principles, standards, and methods to advance TWC beyond current parameters.The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
