Senior Monitoring & Tools Engineer
Location: Coppell, TX- Hybrid
2-3 days onsite
$60/hr on W2
About the Job:
The Tools Engineer will be responsible for the planning, selection and build, and maintenance of high-quality monitoring solutions that meet defined and emerging business capability needs in a cost-effective way. They will partner with Solutions Architects to establish, understand, and adhere to technical and IT security standards while ensuring that systems are maintained and supported to run effectively in production. This position will report directly to the Senior Solutions Architect.
Experience:
- Must have 5 + years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training with an Enterprise Monitoring Tool like Splunk, Dynatrace, Zenoss, Client SiteScope, Client BSM and modern coding languages (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Java, .Net, etc.) along with knowledge about Service Management, CMDB, DevOps, Agile, ITIL and GitLab.
- Must have 2+ years experience developing application dashboards utilizing a monitoring tool.
- Minimum 2+ years experience administering multiple monitoring systems
- Strong Experience with Windows, Unix and Linux Systems
- Experience with various modern application frameworks such as Microsoft Azure, AWS.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, having significant latitude for independent judgment
- High-Level communication skills to collaborate, influence, and persuade others
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to senior management
- Ability to adopt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
- Strong in use of business analysis tools such as, Microsoft office suite, visualization, and requirements management tools to interpret, condense, and communicate complex graphical and statistical information
- Experience supporting Financial applications
- Experience in some form of Financial Service industry
- Experience with financial audits, SOX controls and other regulatory institutions and practices
Training & Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline, or equivalent job experience is required.
- 5 or more years of progressive, broad based IT experience participating in projects and playing a key role toward successful implementation of the projects
