Tooling Technician - STS Group

STS Group is looking for dedicated Tooling Technicians for 2nd and 3rd shifts at our manufacturing facility in Salem, Virginia. Flexibility is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily shop inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Experience in metal fabrication and welding (Stick, MIG, TIG).
• Weld aluminum and steel.
• Ensure all tasks are performed safely and comply with company policies.
• Prepare molds for changes and maintain thermoplastic molds for quality output.
• Complete daily mold change documentation and participate in PPS activities.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure quality mold installation.
• Troubleshoot mold issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Assist Engineers with tool design reviews and assess engineering change feasibility.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of Tool and Die Maintenance experience with large tools.
• Skills in welding, mechanical repair, metal fabrication, troubleshooting, and decision-making.
