We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tool Maker to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This role is best suited for someone with a strong background in various machining processes and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the entire production process, from blueprint reading to the final product, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and implement specifications and blueprints to create precision tools and equipment.
- Operate and handle a wide range of machine tools including lathe, milling, grinder, and shaper to produce or repair tools.
- Utilize Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) systems to design and visualize machining systems and processes.
- Perform machining tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, and turning to create or repair tools.
- Craft molds for use in manufacturing processes.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and repair tool-related problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to understand tool requirements and provide expert advice.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Tool Maker in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with lathe, milling, grinder, shaper, and other machining processes.
- Proficient in the use of Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Extensive knowledge in mold making.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or certification in machining or a related field is a plus.
