Responsibilities:
- Design and construct high-precision tooling and molds for medical device manufacturing processes.
- Conduct detailed analysis and testing of molds to ensure optimal performance and adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production, to identify and solve complex tooling challenges.
- Implement maintenance schedules for molds and tooling to ensure maximum longevity and efficiency.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies in mold making and apply best practices to continuously improve processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Tool & Die Mold Maker in the medical industry or related field.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and CAD/CAM software for design and manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of metallurgy, mold design principles, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings to meet tight deadlines.
Preferences:
- Certification in tool and die technology or related field.
- Experience with plastic injection molding processes.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma techniques.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and production staff.
- A continuous improvement mindset and the willingness to adapt to evolving industry standards.
