We are seeking an experienced Permanent Tool & Die Maker for our rapidly growing manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be a crucial part of our team, using their expertise to craft and repair various tools, dies, and specialized parts. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in the manufacturing industry, particularly in injection molding, metal stamping, and CNC machine operation. If you are a skilled tool and die maker looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, and fit and assemble parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools.
- Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
- Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.
- Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.
- Develop and design new tools and dies, utilizing CAD software.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Tool & Die Maker in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in working with different types of metal and a strong understanding of metal properties.
- Extensive experience with injection molding, metal stamping, and CNC machine operation.
- Proficiency in CAD software is a plus.
- A commitment to adhering to all safety standards and procedures.
