Die Maintenance Technician / Tool & Die
Description
Nice to have EDM experience
Maintain proper inventories for tooling and spare parts.
Operate and maintain tooling and die shop equipment.
Monitor dies throughout production life and collect/offer information on die design and die wearing.
Maintain documentation on die maintenance repairs.
Assist maintenance department in performing machine specific preventive maintenance.
Perform machine specific cleaning procedures.
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Works inside plant where there is a great deal of noise. The work may be dusty, dirty and greasy. Be exposed to chemicals and coolants.
Operate pencil grinders, 90 grinders, manual grinders, lathe, band saw and other shop machines.
Works on a hard surface; stands, stoops, bends and lifts heavy objects (approximately 100 lbs.).
Wears safety shoes, glasses, gloves and ear plugs where required.
All equipment, tools and scrap material generated during the shift must conform to Yamamoto’s 5S concepts.

Requirements
High School diploma or GED; One (1) year machine shop certificate or equivalent experience; ability to read a blueprint; basic math ability, working knowledge of metric measuring system, and experience in the use of calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges.
More than one (1) year of experience in machine shop and/or die making.
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
Right now hiring for 1st/ 2nd shift!
1st 6am to 2:30pm Monday thru Friday
2nd 2pm to 10:30pm Mon- Fri or 4pm to 2:30am Monday thru Thusday
Pay range - $28 to $32 for experience Tool and Die Technician
$20 to $25 for entry lever Tool and Die Technician
A shift differential of $1/ $1.75 will be paid to an employee working 2nd or 3rd shift.
