Position Overview:
Join our team as a Tool Crib Attendant where you’ll oversee inventory management, ensure the upkeep of vital tools and equipment, and drive seamless operations through cross-department collaboration. Your key responsibilities will include cycle counting, equipment maintenance, vendor coordination, and spearheading safety programs, making each day both impactful and rewarding.
What your day may look like:
- Perform tasks requiring knowledge of various processes, procedures, operations, and equipment.
- Cycle count parts and materials in the storage area and conduct equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Maintain tool crib operations, distribute and repair tools, manage inventory of tools and consumables, and prepare returns to vendors, identify ordering points, and place purchase requisitions and create & submit invoice.
- Move merchandise to storage areas, verify items for shipment, assist with packaging, inspect item quality for release, and escalate defective products for immediate replacement.
- Work with vendors as needed to ensure timely supply and service.
- Support the safety program through activities including maintenance of tooling, equipment, and stocking personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Utilize small hand tools and operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet handlers, hand trucks, and stocking bins.
- Assist with the disposition of rejected or out-of-date material and maintain SOP procedures for time-sensitive material.
- Use computer programs to maintain accurate material flow, equipment, and consumables information. Notify appropriate personnel to reorder material.
- Collaborate closely with other departments as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support overall consumables group efficiency.
- Flexibility to work any shift as required by operational needs.
What you need to be successful:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 2-4 years of experience in tool calibration and stock room operations, with proficiency in forklift operation.
- Proven customer service experience to effectively interact with team members and vendors.
- Proficient in data entry and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks.
- Valid California driver’s license.
- Advanced English proficiency for reading and comprehending written instructions and effective verbal communication.
**We Would Be Impressed If You Have:**
Familiarity with equipment, parts, and stock items.
Experience in order processing and inventory logistics.
Experience with requisitions and invoicing.
Ability to create inventory reports for tracking and analysis.
2 years of technical training or an associate degree in a related field.

This position in located in Sacramento, CA. The base hourly rate for this position is $22.29- 26.03 per hour. There is a 10% shift differential for second shift and 20% shift differential for 3rd shift. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
