We are looking for a Trained Medication Aide - TMA to join our team! This position will support our residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility in Bloomington, MN. This role is responsible for providing senior resident care and services including administration of medications in our long term care and transitional care units under the direction of the nurse. This nursing schedule includes;
- 30 Hours Per Pay Period
- Day Shift Hours
- Every other weekend Saturday/Sunday and holiday rotation

Responsibilities/Job Description:- Assists resident with personal cares based on individual plan of care
- Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear, concise manner
- Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
- Follows all shift routines regarding measuring of vital signs, weights, and administration of medications and treatments
- Dispenses meds using the right route, medication, resident time, and dose
- Maintains an awareness of actual and potential side effects, adverse reactions, contraindications and purposes of medications
- Maintains a clean medication cart
Required:
- Nursing Assistant Course
- Active on MN Nursing Assistant registry
- Completion of required training and meet the state requirements for medication administration with a TMA Certificate from the State of MN
Preferred:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 0-1 years of experience
- Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population
- Ability to communicate successfully with insight and courtesy for others
- Experience working in a patient support role (HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant)
- Work experience in a customer service setting
