Requirements:- Minimum of five years experience in a maintenance/tire environment Field Technical and mechanical experience a must
- Must be qualified in vehicle repair systems such as tire, Wheel and Alignment
- Must possess basic MS office skills
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Post secondary vocational educational strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work with and influence others
- Must have excellent inter personal, oral; written communication, follow-up skills with experience in time management and negotiation skills
- SMS proficiency a plus
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic analysis, studies and budgeting
- Must be self-motivated with ability to work well with out direct supervision
- The individual's role is to perform the following tasks
- First line of communications with the Total Tire Management dealer and co-ordinate formal monthly meetings between dealer and customer Business Unit
- Act as go to person to resolve issues between Ryder locations, branch Tire Responsible Person's and dealer
- Participate in all tire related to product problems, customer issues, dealer complaints and direct branches in the overall improvement of their tire process in order to control and lower costs
- Works closely with Maintenance Managers on issues related to product problems, customers issues, dealer complaints and direct branches in the overall improvement of their tire process in order to control and lower costs
- Oversee in the inventory of casings, wheels and perform hands on analysis of all non-retread able tires
- Analysis of tire performance, mile per 32nd, tire breakdown, high cost, applications, etc.
- Perform Tire Checkers Reports during branch visits and analyze existing reports being done by branch personnel
- Communicate and direct required actions
- Determine and direct tire inspections to be performed by the total Tire Management dealer
- Review Ryder Customers Response center data to analyze existing reports being done by branch personnel
- Communicate and direct required actions
- Direct adherence to tire bill back procedures and compliance
- Performs training as required
- Create and monitor all by customer tire matrixes
- Direct proper use of tire casing guidelines and ensure proper inventory levels are maintained at each branch
- Dictate fleets designated as casing generators
- Assist in the tire specing of new equipment
- Participate with Field Tire Team Member during visitation and responsible to ensure recommendations are followed
- Direct the setting up of proper ordering, receiving and payment procedures throughout all branch locations
- Issue purchase orders for both scrap tires and wheel refinishing
- Oversee Out of Service Tire analysis- both inspection and reporting
- Drives compliance in all areas of Total Tire Management
- Utilize strong doted line authority to manage and coach branch location Tire Responsible Persons
- Determine if location TRP is performing in accordance with directives
- Drive branch leaders to implement Tire initiatives
- Assist in meeting requirements for both tire and vehicle alignment qualifications
- Determine what fleets are in need of off site fleet inspections
