Description
As a Tier 3 Network Engineer, you will provide advanced support to the Network Operations Center (NOC). Your responsibilities include supporting and maintaining an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), customer networks, Intranet, Internet, and other data communication systems or network segments. Key Responsibilities
Tier 3 Support: Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for network-related issues within the NOC.
Network Support: Manage and support LAN, WAN, customer networks, Intranet, and Internet systems.
Network Monitoring: Ensure network availability for all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support uninterrupted network operation.
Hardware and Software Maintenance: Maintain and update network hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.
Risk Identification and Mitigation: Proactively identify potential risks within the network and develop plans to mitigate these risks.
Telecommunications Support: Support various business requirements related to telecommunications, including LAN, MAN, WAN, Voice, and Video.
Requirements
Required Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly; This position requires the ability to satisfy a government-administered high-risk screening. Required Qualifications/Certifications:
Advanced networking qualifications including expertise in MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and LAMBDA, with specialization in LAN/MAN/WAN/Optical networks.
Experience utilizing common ticket systems such as Remedy and ServiceNow, as well as common network management tools like HPOV, HPNA, Solarwinds, MNS, and Netcool.
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and fault isolation of IT business systems.
Strong understanding of the OSI model and configuration of routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, BGP, and LDP. Benefits and Perks:
