SYSTEMS ENGINEER (LITTLETON, CO)
The Select Group is seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Engineer to join
our client's dynamic support team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong
background in Linux system engineering and administration, with proven
expertise in collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. This role
demands exceptional communication skills and a commitment to continuous
learning in areas such as cloud computing, automation, and Kubernetes. The
position is based on site in Littleton, CO, with a work schedule of 12
PM-10 PM, Sunday through Wednesday (Sunday is remote). If this is

SYSTEMS ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and associated technologies.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or
similar.
- Basic understanding or exposure to Kubernetes and container technologies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
PLUS SKILLS:
- Certification in Linux (e.g., RHCE, LFCS) or cloud platforms
(e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools
(e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Advanced knowledge of automation frameworks and best practices.
SYSTEMS ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage, configure, and maintain Linux systems to ensure high
availability and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve system-level issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Serve as a primary contact for Linux-related support, assisting users and
teams with technical challenges.
- Develop and maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures and system
configurations.
- Share technical knowledge and best practices to empower team members and
enhance team capabilities.
- Leverage existing knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP,
etc.) to optimize Linux systems.
- Implement and maintain automation scripts for system management and
deployment.
- Write and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, Perl, etc.) to
streamline system administration tasks.
- Clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical
audiences.
