Systems Engineering Group (SEG), a wholly owned subsidiary of AXIENT LLC, is seeking enthusiastic candidates wanting to support the defense of our nation. This position will characterize missile and sensor performance of foreign ballistic, aeroballistic, hypersonic glide, supersonic and hypersonic cruise missiles through modeling, simulation and analysis using digital simulations.
Responsibilities:Anticipated responsibilities and/or assigned projects:
The development of analytical models and tools to characterize threat ballistic and cruise missile performance. These include supporting ongoing activities in the following areas:
- Six Degrees-of-Freedom (6-DOF) digital flight simulation data and model generation
- Radio Frequency (RF) Signature models
- Computer Aided Design (CAD) models
- Phenomenological models for missile debris, clutter, and RF signature waking
- Machine learning studies and data analysis
- Generating documentation for all data and models
- Interfacing with SEG management, program management, and government customers

Qualifications:Required Qualifications:
- 5 years’ of work experience
- Must be a US Citizen (for meeting DoD requirements to obtain security clearance and access) and have or be able to obtain a SECRET clearance.
- Bachelor of Science Degree: Aerospace/Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Physics, Math, Applied Math, and Systems Engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to read and write MATLAB, Python, or similar code to processes and analyze data
- Familiarity with a Linux environment
- Familiarity working with C++
- Experience with documentation and presentations via Microsoft office products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Self-starter – Demonstrate independent ownership of tasking. Position affords opportunity to define path and lead tasks based on technical understanding of engineering community and appreciation of customer needs
