About the Job
Education:
- BS Degree preferred in a related field.
- One to five years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably in a team-based continuous manufacturing environment, wire & cable experienced preferred.
- Results driven, with a demonstrated ability working in a high performance, fast pace manufacturing environment.
- A “make the numbers” mentality in order to reach yearly targets of KPIs in Material Efficiency & Labor Efficiency, following measurable goals, and developing plans & following developed plans to obtain those goals.
- Willing to learn & able to motivate, communicate with people to drive, implement & follow existing and/or projected Company`s continuous improvement tools such as Lead Standard Worksheet, Tier boards, Kaizen events, SMED, 6S, Zero & Beyond, Consequence Thinking.
- Must be willing to deploy the strategies and targets from management to floor.
- Participate in workshops as required.
- As part of management team must be able to train people in SOPs (Standard of Procedures).
- Must be able to work overtime during weekdays & weekends as required.
- Following the policies of Company regarding Safety & Quality Regulations.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks, dealing with day-to-day issues of a manufacturing environment.

- Plans work and production for the work cell, directing the off shifts using thorough, up-to-date knowledge of the processes and the equipment for which he is responsible.
- Reviews information from all shift cell coordinators regarding operating problems.
- Maintains a safe work environment and ensures safety awareness & associate involvement.
- Ensures all machines are operable and adequate raw materials are in inventory.
- Checks schedules for each machine and orders needed materials; checks all machines for proper running speed and enters any mechanical problems on the maintenance log.
- Makes preventive maintenance checks on machines and equipment; prepares any needed work orders.
- Supervises machine operators, packing, material handlers, etc., instructing and training them in proper methods of running machines.
- Observes associates for effectiveness, efficiency, and performance safety practices, following instructions and procedures to reduce scrap usage and waste. Evaluates process and work performance on each employee and makes recommendations.
- Provides adequate direction for each associate directly supervised; maintaining clearly stated work assignments and providing assistance when needed.
