- This is a Perm/Direct Hire role
- This role is located in the St. Louis area, just over the border in IL.
- This is a DAY SHIFT role, working a Monday thru Friday shift, with the occasional OT and off hours work to be done as needed, but not regularly.
In This Role, Your Duties Will Include The Following
Working daily with thermal spray systems and other components to process customer product in a safe and efficient manner.
- You will Lead a team of production staff and technicians, upwards of 25-30 folks on average, who work with various spray systems, including HVOF, ARC, HVAF, and both FLAME and PLASMA spray systems.
- Those with previous Experience programing robotic spraying/deposition tools is a plus, and will be part of the role.
- ABB ROBOT Experience would be a big plus, but if not, an ability to Load programs and verify existing programs is desired.
- Your role will be to lead, direct, schedule, and work alongside your team team, producing high quality work, with the goal of no/less rework to meet production schedules, and customer goals and expectations.
- Priority consideration will be given to those with directly applicable previous work experience/history in cell team environment.
- Conduct operations required for completion of the jobs (Grit Blast, masking, etc.)
- Execute tasks and responsibilities as required by the Quality Systems, including maintaining accurate, legible, and complete Quality and Process documentation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ideally, at least three to five years' of hands on experience in the field of thermal spray or equivalent technical experience, along with at least a year or two, or MORE experience in a supervisory/team leadership role.
- Strong Team Motivational Skills, Organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and team leaders at all level.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and apply job requirements to ensure quality
- Ability to read, write, and communicate English effectively
- Must be adept with basic mathematics
- Must be able to keep detailed records
- A working knowledge of all thermal spray processes used onsite is desired.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting problems
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Windows)
- Ability to operate thermal spray systems and components in a safe manner
- Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment (earplugs, safety glasses, respirator).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
