Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and driven Therapy Services Manager to lead and deliver high-quality in- house therapy services to adults with a range of diagnoses and disabilities, with a special focus on supporting aging in place. In this role, you will directly influence residents' quality of life by developing and implementing tailored, person-centered interventions that promote mobility, independence, and overall well-being. The Therapy Services Manager may also directly supervise onsite Physical Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists. Primary Responsibilities:
- Management of departmental outpatient program including uses of equipment and supplies, billing, compliance, quality assurance and daily staffing operations.
- Participates in marketing and promotion of the outpatient department to referral sources in the community to maintain a clinical caseload while following TSL Well procedures.
- Demonstrates capacity to understand insurance reimbursement and billing while coordinating care.
- Investigates, follows–up and assists in the resolution of staff, service, and patient related issues.
- Directly supervises all outpatient department staff to ensure efficient use of staff time in compliance with standards of care and quality.
- Conducts annual performance reviews for outpatient department staff.
- Adheres to all company policies and monitors staff adherence.
- Coordinates work schedules to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency of self and staff.
- Develops time management strategies for efficient patient care planning, documentation and meetings.
- Conducts screenings of new community residents and those referred by nursing to determine the need for intervention.
- Evaluates residents to obtain data necessary for treatment, planning and implementation.
- Interprets and communicates evaluation findings to residents, family, and other team members.
- Records treatment times and documentation by following federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
- Provides treatment in accordance with established standards of practice, department procedures and productivity standards while adapting treatment for individual needs.
- Monitors resident response to intervention, modifying treatment as indicated to attain goals in accordance with physician orders.
- Develops appropriate home and community programming to maintain and enhance the performance of the residents in their home environment.
- Performs caregiver training for community staff and family members.
- Recommends and educates residents, family, and community staff in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
- Consistently demonstrates sound judgment in the evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow-up of resident therapy programs including excellent communication with community staff.
- Reviews the quality and appropriateness of services delivered of individual therapy programs for effectiveness and efficiency, using predetermined criteria.
- Assists with and participates in Quality Assurance Program as required.
- Maintains safety standards including safety stands including compliance with infection control, universal precautions and OSHA stands for healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited therapy program - Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Current state licensure.
- Previous management and leadership experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
