Position Duties and Responsibilities:Implements and executes on established patient treatment plan under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Communicates with patient, families, referring physicians and other members of the team. Provides timely written documentation per facility and department requirements. Develops and enhances clinical and professional skills through knowledge and professional associations. Communicates with patient, families and other clinical staff of treatment variations. Provides timely written documentation as required by insurance provider to meet licensing, certification, regulatory, reimbursement requirements and physician treatment plan. Supports and participates in department operations and development. Reports any changes in patient status or needs to supervising therapist on a timely basis. Prepares and submits patient charges accurately to provide appropriate billing information. Meets or exceeds the productivity standards as established with designated Director. Uses professional judgment to ensure safety of self, patients and others at all times. Achieves quality patient care through interdisciplinary communication. Attends required meetings as designed by the Clinical Director. Effectively communicates with therapists concerning patients response to treatment plan. Provides constructive feedback to rehab gym aides. Attends in-services, training sessions or other educational presentations. Coordinates treatment goals with other team members. Maintains valid licensure, certification or equivalent as requested by appropriate state agency. Maintains awareness of patient and community needs, conditions, and programs. Manages a waitlist of patients and assists receptionists with filling your schedule. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Abilities: Work with a diverse group of coworkers and patients. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient with Google Suite. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must have CPR-AED certification or be willing to get them. Good organizational skills. Is in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards. Working knowledge of Medicare and other payer sources. Full knowledge of patient s rights. Exudes professionalism in presentation. Able to multitask. Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in the English languageEducation and Experience: Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program (required) Have, or obtain, an Oregon Physical Therapy Assistant License (required) Have, or obtain, BLS (CPR-AED) certification (required)Preferences: 1-year Physical Therapy Assistant experience (preferred not required) Network Data handling (preferred not required)Physical Requirements: Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to sit and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Gross manipulation: seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand(s). Must be able to bend, squat, crouch, kneel, stoop, crawl push, and pull as needed especially in fulfilling patient care activities.
