About the Job
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time contract opportunity for a home care position in Chicago, IL.
The PTA plans and provides physical therapy services to clients in their homes in accordance with the Plan of Care and Agency policies and procedures. The Physical Therapist Assistant performs functions that require substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill and must be able to make judgments accordingly.
Responsibilities included but not limited to are:
-Implements physical therapy treatment programs as outlined by care plan established by a physical therapist to improve the patient's body functions and to relieve pain.
-Trains patient ambulatory skills through strengthening and stretching exercises to improve their functional activity
-Consults with the physical therapist concerning the patient's evaluation and progress
-Assists the physical therapist in performing tests, evaluations and complex treatment procedures
-Provides documentation of patient care in accordance with established criteria
