The Theater Ambassador for Entertainment is responsible for proactively assisting guests during their experience including both indoor/outdoor attractions and venues. This position is designated to have a high focus on positive guest interactions including, but not limited to, answering questions, being welcoming, exuding a positive attitude and demonstrating an overall enthusiastic demeanor. From that point, they will provide instruction and direction for seating and maintain a safe and pleasant experience for guests. The Guest Experience Ambassador will also participate in sanitizing and cleaning of high touch points in and around both indoor/outdoor locations.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive countenance and demonstrate an overall enthusiastic demeanor
- Clean and sanitize indoor/outdoor Entertainment venues and attractions, queue lines, closets, and surrounding areas
- Provide park information including food, merchandise, rides, show locations, and current festivals
- Initiate friendly interactions with guest’s, ensure entertainment signage and show times are correct at the beginning of each day
- Keep area clean by picking up debris after each activation, dusting, light cleaning of windows, vacuuming seats and floors, sweeping floors, and mopping floors as needed
- Work varying hours and locations as required
- Maintain order within the venue as well as in the immediate area of the indoor/outdoor area before and after activations
- Rotate between multiple indoor/outdoor locations to support team as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Excellent verbal communicator – consistent and detailed
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check

- Ability to work with and tolerate detergents and chemicals utilized in the area
- Able to wear all PPE as required
- Able to tolerate noise at high levels
- Ability to climb stairs
- Must be comfortable with public speaking to a large crowd during an emergency situation
- Must be able to periodically scan the venue to ensure the safety of our guests
