ALS is looking for a temporary THAAD System Technical Trainer to work in El Paso, TX.
The successful candidate will function as a System Technical Trainer with the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Missile Defense System out of Ft Bliss, Texas. You will assist the customer in instructing and teaching groups of personnel, on New Equipment Training (NET), Technical Concepts and Operations, Air Battle Management Training, and THAAD Missile Technical Escort Training. This will be in accordance with established Instructor Training Guidelines, US Army Air and Missile Defense Operations, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), Technical Manuals (TMs), policies, procedures, and processes. The candidate will conduct training sessions, product demonstrations, and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. The candidate will be a member of an instructor/support team and will perform all duties under direct supervision from the customer. This position is designated as Mission Essential with a requirement to train and certify personnel from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to sustain and maintain Missile Defense Operations. The candidate will support anything that leads up to working overtime and nonstandard shifts, as necessary.
Responsibilities
+ Provides THAAD individual training for KSA personnel at the Ft Bliss, Texas, THAAD training facility.
+ Utilizes a combination of KSA THAAD tactical equipment and Government-furnished training devices.
+ Trains in accordance with KSA specific Training Program Structure Document (TPSD) and Developed Training Plans.
+ Instructs courses that will be sequenced and required to complete prior to commencement of collective training.
+ Teaches THAAD system and component overview and all aspects of TFCC functional operations.
+ Teaches THAAD Launcher system/Sub System and component overview and all aspects of THAAD Launcher functional operations.
+ Teaches maintenance, troubleshooting, and remove & replace procedures for all equipment associated with the THAAD communications.
+ Teaches THAAD Doctrine, System Behavior and Engagement Operations.
+ Instructs THAAD Missile Technical Escort Training.
+ Teaches THAAD Battery Support Center (BSC) operations.
+ Instructors will be cross trained to ensure each training area has a primary and backup instructor identified and available as required.
+ Instructs maintenance and troubleshooting procedures to KSA Enhanced Operator/Maintainers (EOM) to include but not limited to: software, hardware, interconnecting cabling, electrical system, and networks.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or 5 years direct related work experience.
+ Previous experience on the THAAD or PATRIOT Missile Defense System.
+ Experience and Knowledge of US Army Air and Missile Defense Force and Engagement operations.
+ CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain.
+ Must be a U.S. citizen and possess and maintain a SECRET clearance.
+ Must pass a background check to include criminal and credit.

+ THAAD Launch Control Station (LCS)/Communications (14H).
+ THAAD Launcher (14T).
