Information Technology Services (ITS) is requesting a Tester Expert to work project team to conduct Quality Assurance testing of DOH applications as related to the Exadata Oracle Migration project.

Anticipated Training: Consultants are required to attend mandatory workplace training. Examples of currently included courses are: Security Awareness, Preventing Sexual Harassment, Preventing Workplace Violence, etc.
Knowledge transfer requested during the Engagement: Prepare documentation and conduct formal/informal training sessions in order to effectively transfer knowledge in the areas needed for on-going support of the HPNAP program.

Day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to:
- Follow all standards and procedures defined by the Health Portfolio Quality Management Center
- Using the test case template; create a test case for each test scenario identified in the Release Management Plan with clearly defined test steps, test data requirements and expected results.
- Review test cases created by other staff.
- Export test cases from EXCEL to Client ALM test plan module, link test cases to requirements, and set up tests in test lab
- Execute manual tests and record results.
- Create test data.
- Use SQL Oracle Developer to validate back-end data
- Validate, Log, prioritize and track defects using Client ALM.
- Create/execute SQL queries as needed to investigate/validate test results.
- Facilitate defect meetings with the development team, follow up on defects as needed, and retest resolved defects.
- Prepare Release Test Result Acceptance Forms for QA and UAT.
- Create/Generate reports in Client ALM for requirements coverage, test results, defects and others as requested to monitor the status of testing activities and demonstrate compliance with QMC standards.
- Analyze and Validate User Acceptance Testing defects and provide support as requested for User Acceptance Testing
- Compile reports and activity status as requested by the unit manager or project manager.
- Prepare and execute a knowledge transfer.
- Follow enterprise, portfolio level, department level, and division level directives, best practices, standards, and methodologies, as appropriate or requested.

- Full time role with engagement lenth of 14months
- Daily work hours: Preferred hours 8:00-4:30
- Physical office location: Corning Tower, Albany, NY 12210
- 50% Telecommuting will be allowed
Requested Qualifications:
- 84 months of experience testing new web applications.
- 84 months of experience working directly with business analysts, program subject matter experts and technical staff, to define all test scenarios.
- 84 months of experience creating detailed test cases based on use cases, software specifications, and design documents.
- 60 months of experience creating and executing test cases based on user interface, functional requirements, etc and in cases, without requirements, where requirements may need to be identified.
- 60 months of experience using Client ALM software for tracking of test cases and test case execution for multiple releases and user roles.
- 60 months of experience using Client ALM software to verify requirements coverage, and creating ALM reports for test coverage, test status, and defects.
- 60 months of experience in defect management (identifying, recording, tracking, prioritizing, and communicating defects) using ALM to document, track and communicate problems to technical staff.
- 60 months of experience creating and executing test cases to validate functional requirements for system generated reports, verifying the reports are generated and populated with accurate data.
