Test Technician - Impact Business Group

About the Job
Test Technician is responsible for testing and troubleshooting complex circuit card assemblies at the unit level as required to meet production and quality standards.
1st shift, 9/80 schedule Monday-Thursday, 1st shift works 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM and on the Friday's that we do work (every other Friday) the hours are 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
- Analyzes unit failures to determine probable cause. Interfaces with support engineers, customers and/or electronic maintenance for corrective action.
- Records test data on applicable data sheets and reviews for accuracy. Coordinates inter-shift communications on problems and new procedures when necessary.
- Train and provide technical assistance in testing and troubleshooting as needed to other technicians.
- Utilize knowledge of electronic equipment and manufacturing process to uphold quality standards.
- Read/Interpret complex schematics to troubleshoot CCA's and use block diagrams to setup test equipment as called out in a procedure.
- Interface with customers and answer questions on tests performed.
- Associate's degree in electronic technology or equivalent combination of education and/or military experience
- Minimum of three years electronics technology experience
- Good computer skills, ability to follow detailed program instructions.
- Working knowledge of oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply, RCL meter, and Dynamometer's.
- Working knowledge of JTAG/Boundary-Scan and programming IDE (FlashPro)
- Familiarity with ICT and Flying Probe (SPEA and SEICA).
- Familiarity with National Instruments Products (i.e., LabVIEW, TestStand, PXI based systems)
- Experience with thermal chambers (Thermotron, Russells, JC systems controllers), thermocouples (T-type), and DAQs (Agilent/Fluke or equivalent)
- May require handling of or exposure to chemicals used in the assembly process.
- Requires lifting of up to 35 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Vision corrected to 20/20 and ability to distinguish colors.
- Standing or sitting for extended periods of time may be required.
Successful completion of the following training programs (which are provided):
- ESD Certification Class 0
- IPC-A-610 Certification
- J-STD-001 Certification
- IPC Space Addendum
- Customer-specific requirements training, as needed.
- Component/PWB Handling
- Move Safe Product
- Right-To-Know Training
- Operator Self Inspection

Contract positions
