Job Summary

The Mechanical Test Technician is responsible for performing complex tests and verifications on various electromechanical equipment to ensure accuracy, productivity, and on-time delivery. This role involves troubleshooting and failure analysis, providing detailed reports, and supporting production and engineering teams. The technician is expected to maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhere to company policies, and assist in training less experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of moderately difficult to complex tasks, including testing and troubleshooting electromechanical parts.
• Set up test equipment and conduct tests according to specifications.
• Analyze failures and provide detailed root cause analysis reports to production and engineering teams.
• Interpret and follow written and verbal instructions while adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment, following all safety rules and guidelines.
• Assist other departments, support tasks across production cells/locations, and train junior staff as needed.
• Ensure consistent attendance and availability to work nights, weekends, and additional hours as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Proficient in using test equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and sketches.
• Experience in basic assembly, and testing of actuators, pneumatics, hydraulics, and valves.
• Skilled in building assemblies using work orders, blueprints/drawings, and accepted test procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills, capable of addressing atypical or infrequent issues using established methods.
• Effective oral and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows software applications.
