Volt is immediately hiring a Test System Engineer in San Diego, CA.
As a Test System Engineer you will:
Be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying test systems applications and software for the testing of industrial gas turbines. This position is part of the test systems team, providing centralized support to internal customers and partnering closely with metrology, test cell engineers, and technicians. Additionally, this position will actively participate in troubleshooting and resolving test systems software issues while collaborating closely with customers to enhance software capabilities and service delivery.
Candidates for this position must have a graduate or postgraduate degree in an accredited engineering curriculum (Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical).
This is a long term, contingent position.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
· Experience with software development using LabVIEW, C++, MATLAB, or .NET.
· Familiarity with Test Program Specification (TPS) languages.
· Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) or Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD).
· Ability to comprehend and effectively integrate test instrumentation equipment and data acquisition measurement devices into test systems software solutions.
· Willingness to participate in all aspects of the software life cycle, including analysis, design, development, production deployment, and support.
· Proficiency in application development tools, including Azure DevOps and GitHub.
· Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques.
· Problem-solving skills, including the ability to recognize, anticipate, and resolve product or process problems.
· Knowledge of software product testing, with the ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and delivery This is a contingent to hire opportunity.
Pay Rate: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
