Job Summary:
- The Supply Chain UAT Analyst will play a critical role in managing and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the supply chain operations.
- This position is responsible for ensuring that all end-to-end testing is comprehensive and aligns with business objectives.
- The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT partners, vendor partners, and business stakeholders, to define testing needs, develop test cases, manage test execution, and facilitate go-live readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Define Testing Requirements and Scope
Define Testing Requirements and Scope
- Identify and evaluate which areas of the supply chain are impacted (Device, Network, or both).
- Define the high-level test scope based on users, workflows, lines of business, and applications/modules involved.
Draft and Develop Test Cases
- Analyze business acceptance criteria to establish test case objectives.
- Collaborate with technical teams to understand the proposed solutions and validate requirements. Partner with business stakeholders and/or delivery managers to develop detailed test cases.
- Document test cases/scripts with clear traceability from requirements through testing phases.
- Finalize and obtain approval for test cases, ensuring alignment with the agreed-upon toolset.
Review and Influence External Test Plans
- Work with IT partner teams, including System Quality Assurance Resources (SQAR), End-to-End Testing (E2E), System Integration Testing (SIT), and other lines of business, to review and provide input on test plans.
- Collaborate with 3PL and 4PL vendor partners to ensure their test plans align with internal requirements.
Manage Vendor Partner Testing (3PL)
- Coordinate with 3PL vendors to collect and document testing plan details.
- Create, update, and monitor the Vendor Test Report (VTR) to track individual test efforts or development tasks.
- Manage VTR levels of effort (LOEs) and purchase orders (POs).
- Oversee VTR-related communication, manage off-hours and weekend support requests, and escalate issues as needed.
- Lead weekly VTR and development task meetings.
Test Execution and Monitoring
- Confirm entrance criteria, ensure test environments are configured, and validate user access to applications.
- Oversee the creation or acquisition of prerequisite test data.
- Manage user access to testing tools for script execution and defect logging.
- Track and log test results, identify and log defects, and coordinate retesting as required.
Test Status and Defect Management
- Provide daily status reports and host regular test status calls and defect review meetings.
- Conduct defect triage, root cause analysis, SLA management, and handle escalation as necessary.
Test Exit and Transition
- Prepare a comprehensive test exit status report.
- Support the Go/No-Go decision-making process and coordinate knowledge transfer and handover sessions.
Deployment and Go-Live Support
- Plan Business Validation Testing (BVT) and establish processes for smooth production go-live.
- Set up and manage BVT war rooms, organize status update calls, and issue daily reports during go-live. Monitor production environments for defects, manage logging and tracking, and ensure timely escalation and SLA compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain testing, user acceptance testing, or related areas.
- Strong knowledge of UAT processes, supply chain systems, and testing methodologies.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and facilitate test execution.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with UAT tools and traceability software.
- Understanding of 3PL/4PL testing environments and vendor management.
- Familiarity with SLA management, root cause analysis, and escalation procedures. At least 7 years relevant experience required.
- Ensure the team has adopted Test Best Practices during all cycles of the quality phase. Mentor and coach team on tools, processes, project and resource planning and project facilitation and coordination. Processes and Quality Assurance.
- Ensure team is meeting deliverables for test process, including the publication and review of project test results. Work with the team to identify and effectively communicate/escalate risk items and deviations from the test plan;
- Ensure the test plan is adapted as needed based on test results and progress in consultation with leadership/partners and recommend/take action as necessary to compensate for problems. Ensure traceable coverage of the risks and specification elements by tests.
- Ensure KPIs exist for team.
- Analyze risk to the quality of the system in consultation with project managers, vendors and other stakeholders. Perform role of liaison between all areas of impact with test (Project Management, Business Liaisons, Development, User Acceptance Testing, etc.)
- Position requires strong verbal and written communication skills in order to accurately convey complex technical problems, their impacts, and resolutions to management, vendors, or business teams.
- The Test Manager must be able to think outside the box to identify creative solutions and efficiency improvements. 25%
- Review and provide input on test strategy, defect reports and other deliverables created by test managers, test technicians and analysts.
- Perform audits for adherence to adequate configuration management of testware, including safe storage of test strategy/plan/case, test data, test scripts, test results and other test assets. Ensure team follows company policies and procedures for change management, incident management, release management, disaster recovery, and security.
- Management deliverables include standard and process definition and validating and reporting on adherence; developing Key Performance Indicators for the area of expertise; maintaining staff capacity plan; being a team champion and sponsor;
- leadership direction and coaching for project tasks as well as career development. Facilitating and building winning relationships with peers, partners and vendors. Conflict Management as required.
