Rapiscan Laboratories manufactures radiation equipments. We develop and test X-ray imaging systems and equipment to the airport and security industries.
We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of products through various testing methods and procedures. Working closely with engineers, they will execute test plans provided by engineers, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of test data.
Responsibilities:- Develop, document, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Execute manual and automated tests on various software products to identify defects and ensure product quality.
- Utilize Linux-based systems to set up, configure, and maintain test environments.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Perform Testing procedures using prescribed methods and protocols, including visual inspection, and dimensional measurements.
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with the design team to resolve defects.
- Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform regression testing, performance testing, and stress testing as required.
- Document test results, including observations, measurements, and any deviations from the expected values, accurately and in a timely manner using Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in using Jira for test and defect management.
- Document and report test results, providing clear and actionable feedback to the development team.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement of test processes and procedures.
- Help maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the testing laboratory or work area.

- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, electrical or a related field required. Years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 5 + years of proven experience as a Test Engineer or similar role, with a focus on software testing strongly desired.
- Proficiency in Linux environments, including command-line tools and shell scripting.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Must have a commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to pass an in-depth background check - Sensitive Security Information (SSI).
