Job Description:
Test Engineer with test hardware development experience to support our Integrated Test Engineering (ITE) organization. The ITE organization’s mission is to reliably deliver customer-focused, affordable test solutions which are integrated across all levels of production and engineering test. Experience the entire life cycle of a program to include bid and proposal, advanced development and demonstration, test design and development, product fielding, procurement and sustainment. The selected candidate will be part of a test engineering team throughout the product lifecycle. The Test Engineer should have a strong background in Electrical or Computer Engineering, and possess a demonstrated ability in designing, developing, and deploying complex automated test systems, test applications, documentation, and selecting commercial Instrumentation for testing Military Comms, Navigation, and Electronic Warfare equipment.
Required Qualifications:
- Architecting and designing test equipment hardware/test station used for testing: - analog, digital, RF circuit cards; - hybrid modules, - higher-level systems and subsystems
- Experiencing in the design and documentation of: - Interface Test Adapters (ITAs) - -9' test racks, including the selection of rack-and-stack instruments and PXI hardware - test cabling - custom test module design - definition/selection/design of custom switch modules/matrices
- Developing, releasing, updating hardware documentation for test requirements, test design, and operating procedures for acceptance test and environmental stress screening applications.
- A minimum of 8Â years required designing and developing test equipment hardware for automated test systems utilized in both production and engineering environments.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical of Computer Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in factory production test stands design, integration, problem isolation and resolution.
- Experience designing interface test adapters (ITAs) is highly desired.
- Experienced in using test instrumentation (oscilloscopes, PXI systems & I/O modules, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generators, etc.)
- Familiar with boundary scan tools and software Familiar with FPGA programming and debugging.
- Performing design for test (DFT) analysis. Generating Test Requirement Documents (TRDs) for military depot customers
- Masters Degree in Electrical of Computer Engineering
