As a Test Data QA Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and managing data utilized throughout the Software Development Life Cycle for testing purposes within the organization. The Test Data Coordinator will oversee the planning, organization, and provisioning of test data for various applications, including Vendor Managed and Legacy applications for major projects.
Responsibilities
• Identify and define test data needs based on business requirements for Vendor Managed and Legacy Applications and surrounding/interfacing systems.
• Extract, import, and export test data in various databases and file formats.
• Own Test Data required to support all functional and non-functional testing.
• Act as a subject matter expert on test data for testing teams and development teams where applicable.
• Design and implement test data process improvements, including automating manual processes of existing test data generation.
• Optimize test data processes based on project lessons learned.
• Manage test data challenges for the testing team, providing guidance, training, and mentoring as needed.
• Collaborate with Governance & Standards Lead to develop reusable templates for documenting test data requirements.
• Ensure adherence to test data policies and strategies to synchronize data across different systems.
• Conduct data auditing activities and assist with ongoing governance and data architecture processes.
• Work with Test Lead to ensure test data requirements are met and assist in defect triage related to test data inconsistencies.
• Apply extensive expertise in integration and test, recognized as a subject matter expert in managing data.
• Partner with management to define the test data management strategy roadmap and execute it by consulting relevant stakeholders.
• Support Functional test planning, design, test data preparation, and execution activities.
• Identify and mitigate/escalate risks and issues related to test data inconsistencies.
• Perform data reconciliations and resolve test data discrepancies.
• Coordinate with other Enterprise teams to acquire/provision de-identified test data required for planned testing.
• Collaborate with Release/Change/Environment Management teams to set up test data in various non-prod environments.
• Assess test data gaps in test environments and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
• Validate consistency of data in test environments.
• Formulate test data backup plans and ensure their timely implementation and security.
• Work on and coordinate special projects as requested by management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Must have Healthcare (Claims) Data and EDI files experience.
• Direct hands-on experience with Healthcare EDI data.
• Proficiency in SQL is required.
• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages is desirable.
