Role: Test Automation Engineer
Location: Remote
Technical Skills:
Experience with defect management tool (JIRA) and integration of automation framework with Test Case Management tool
Required technical skills (If applicable) Demonstrated knowledge of 1 or 2 test Automation tools. e.g. Selenium, UFT, etc.
Job Description & Key Responsibilities
Candidate should have:
- Knowledge on Functional & Test Automation Frameworks
- Programming languages, such as Java & C#
- Exposure to source control tools such as SVN or Git
- Experience designing, writing, and executing test automation scripts using Selenium.
- Experience in triaging defects/problems in software
- Working with QA analysts and software developers to find solutions.
- Should have experience in automation testing of Web/ Mobile applications.
- Solid understanding of defect/problem management lifecycle
- Solid understanding of fundamentals of QA methodology
- Ability to analyze user cases, stories, requirements, and/ or technical specifications into test cases.
- Hands - on experience on developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts – Selenium.
- Should have demonstrated knowledge of test Automation tools other than Selenium, i.e. UFT
- Familiarity with software configuration management tools like SVN, GIT, etc.
Responsible for:
- Defining the scope of testing within the context of each release/ delivery
- Preparation and execution of test cases, Reporting of defects, preparation of Test Reports, etc.
- Onboard the Test Cases using the CloudTestr platform.
- Maintain and execute automated test scripts during Rollout and patch updates.
- Prepare test results and test results reports.
- Project communication on a Daily/Weekly basis during releases, i.e. onboarding status report, test execution reports, defect status reports, etc.
