Test Automation Engineer - Capgemini Engineering

Job description:

We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in automation testing and expertise in the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). The candidate will be responsible for crafting and implementing automated test scripts using Python and a BDD framework to guarantee the quality and dependability of our software applications.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement automated test scripts using Python to ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand application requirements and develop effective test strategies
• Perform regression, functional, and performance testing to validate software quality
• Identify and document defects, facilitating timely resolutions with the development team
• Maintain and improve the existing test automation framework and processes

Required Skills:

• Proven 5 to 7 years’ experience in embedded systems test automation.
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in Python programming for test automation.
• Experience configuring and maintenance of test automation in Jenkins.
• Hands on working experience in Linux (e.g. CentOS) is mandatory.
• Experience in automation of HDMI using squish automation framework.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Nice to have

• Exposure to test LAB environment, devices set up, troubleshooting and configuration
