About the Job
Responsibilities will center on software development and testing. You will ensure the robustness of automation initiatives before they can be distributed to both internal and external stakeholders. You will carry out functional integration testing between the company's applications, products, and services. Success in this role will be determined by your ability to successfully perform end-to-end testing of automation frameworks (Testing and Process).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Validate all changes made to business applications for accuracy.
- Responsible for identifying test scenarios, test case development, and test case execution and will interact with the members of the development team to include systems analysis, development and user acceptance testing to validate the accuracy of development projects against business requirements.
- Create and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
- Prepare test data needed to execute test cases.
- Prepare test environment and provisioning requirements to execute the test cases.
- Execute test cases and analyze results in order to identify potential defects.
- Assess impact and escalate risks/ issues to appropriate teams/resources to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform Back testing, including interfaces, database, webservice.
- Collaborate with System Integration Test team regarding test scenario development and defect identification.
- Ensure fixes to defects found are retested comprehensively.
- Contribute / Maintain the test script library by reviewing existing scripts and develop new test cases and participate in preparation of test plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Project Specific Responsibilities:
- Assess and understands the general flow of code and its integrations both upstream and downstream.
- Work with both technical and non-technical personnel to develop business process flows
- Performs more technically based assessments (i.e., Infrastructure upgrades, Service Endpoint validation, etc.)
- Builds / Maintains the overall integrated end to end test suite
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to establish an integrated tool landscape
- Be a prominent contributor within the defect triage / mitigation process
- Ability to mitigate problems with both business and technical orientated staff
- Work with tool vendors to assess and test latest automation tools in the market.
- Works with technical staff and deployment staff to automate smoke testing
- Assess quality stability, consult on next steps with both technical and business teams
- Guardian of the overall automation process to ensure that quality results are accurately captured
- Ability to present facts and figures to get to a logical conclusion
Minimum Requirements
- Typically requires 5-7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Project Specific Responsibilities:
- Excellent verbal and communication skills (ability to present the facts)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree with work experience
- Deep understanding of automation tools (Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, Katalon, etc.)
- Five or more years in an SDET or Similar role
- Testing knowledge on Database, Query, API, Java knowledge a plus, Power Builder, Java, Websphere
- Deep knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, Iterative Development)
- Deep knowledge of Test-Driven Development and/or Behavioral Driven Development
- Fundamental knowledge of healthcare, insurance, or financial services is a plus

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
