Job Overview:
Seeking for a motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join the team. The primary responsibility of this role is to maximize sales within a defined territory by executing high-volume outbound prospecting and converting inbound inquiries to achieve activations. You will develop and maintain strong customer relationships, drive business growth, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets for modular structures, containers, and related value-added products.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Growth:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed sales targets for containers, ground level offices, singlewide modular structures, complex modular structures (in certain markets), and value-added products.
- Spend approximately 40% of time on outbound prospecting, 30% on inbound inquiry conversion, with the remainder dedicated to account development, in-person prospecting, and customer visits.
- Identify and prioritize potential customers, industries, and market segments for business development.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and consistently work to convert leads into successful sales.
- Pursue both high-value project opportunities and transactional sales, offering turnkey space solutions and additional value-added products.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-lasting customer relationships through regular communication, site visits, and exceptional customer service.
- Understand customer needs, recommend appropriate products, and promptly address any inquiries or concerns.
- Collaborate with customers to create tailored solutions that meet their container and modular structure requirements.
- Utilize the CRM system to track performance, manage customer interactions, and ensure a collaborative approach to sales.
Market Analysis:
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities within the territory.
- Conduct market research to identify new growth opportunities and areas for differentiation.
- Provide feedback to management on market insights and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.
Quoting and Pricing:
- Use a consultative selling approach to maximize pricing and monthly lease rates, ensuring competitive and value-driven solutions.
- Prepare accurate and competitive price quotes for potential customers.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery of products.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts using CRM software.
- Generate regular sales performance reports, market trend analyses, and competitor activity updates for management review.
- Meet daily/weekly sales expectations and lead indicators to achieve trifecta goals.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, and customer support, to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues to achieve common sales objectives and contribute to overall team success.
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of outbound prospecting experience or similar relevant experience.
- Willingness to travel 10%-20% for customer field visits (minimal to no overnight travel).
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom, Teams, etc.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in a high-volume, transactional sales cycle.
- Familiarity with leasing processes and consultative, solution-selling techniques.
