We are currently seeking a Territory Sales Associate to join our Sales team supporting our West Region. This is an incredible opportunity for a highly driven, earlier-career sales professionals to gain hands-on mentorship with a dynamic group of top medical device salespeople. To best support the business this individual should ideally live in Sacramento or the north/east San Francisco Bay Area.
Travel: This role will require approximately 75% overnight travel (3-4 days/week)
Responsibilities and Capabilities:
Support sales and market development activities in designated territories. Held accountable to grow revenue and increase utilization in assigned accounts while increasing the patient pipeline through customer and patient focused marketing efforts. The Territory Sales Associate will work collaboratively with the Regional Business Director and Territory Managers executing market awareness, utilization activities and drive revenue within the region and territories they are assigned. They will collaborate and build relationships with physicians and key staff in accounts while building the Pulmonx brand in assigned geography. Additionally, Territory Sales Associates may be required to work outside their primary assignments as required by business conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Territory Managers in following the Zephyr Valve Sales Process.
- Case coverage as needed in the region.
- Collaborate with Territory Managers to identify high potential referring key accounts, health care professionals, and business issues that have the greatest effect on use of company products by meeting with existing and potential treating and referring customers.
- Develop in collaboration with Territory Managers, quarterly account development plan.
- Develop and strengthen long-term relationships with key stakeholders including hospitals, physicians, multidisciplinary team, hospital marketing, physician liaisons, referring offices, pulmonary rehabilitations and PFT labs.
- Articulate the benefits of Zephyr Valves to other health care providers and staff with the goal of generating patient referrals.
- In-service and train physicians and staff to competency on the Chartis System and Zephyr Valves to ensure exceptional clinical standards.
- Market development activities consisting of, but not limited to, calling on General Pulmonologists and Primary Care Physicians to drive awareness of disease state and treatment.
- Develop and execute market development programs with hospitals, private practices, pulmonary rehabilitations, PFT labs and local associations.
- Collaborate with Regional Business Director and Territory Managers to identify and engage key referral networks for Zephyr Valves utilizing company and customer databases.
- Gain meetings with key referral sites for Territory Managers to close for the activity, appointments, webinars, and seminars.
- Support Regional initiatives ie: RT events, PES, referral events.
- Support treating centers to provide post-procedural communications to referring physicians on patient outcomes.
- Provide extended case coverage within region and communicate outcomes.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports as defined by Regional Business Director.
- Document cases, sales calls and other activities in CRM.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree required
- Minimum of 1-3 years of field sales experience required
- Previous experience with interacting with medical staff in clinical and hospital settings preferred
- Dynamic, customer-focused individual with technical-oriented ability and well-developed written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A passion for the customer, patient and product supported by strong relationships and closing skills
- Strong work ethic, high energy/drive and personal integrity based on a strong value system.
Compensation: Base + Variable compensation $130K at plan
